Winter is coming but not before Fall! kate spade new york embraces bright colours and takes the spotlight at New York Fashion Week at NYC’s famed landmark, the Whitney Museum of American Art.
The Fall 2023 collection by kate spade new york is an artistic depiction of how they perceive the season with a kate spade twist. kate spade new york has been entrenched in culture and art since its inception.
The collection, which was created by Jennifer Lyu, SVP and Head of Design, Leather Products and Accessories, and Tom Mora, SVP and Head of Design, RTW and Lifestyle Categories, emphasises the fun of dressing in a way that seems varied, vibrant, and new. The unexpected is blended with traditional design components like geometric patterns, bright colours, and workmanship.
“The Fall 2023 narrative evokes the universal feeling of joy that the season brings – a renewed
sense of energy. It’s like a blank canvas, the beginning of something new. There’s an excitement about getting back to a routine and getting dressed again…whether meeting friends for drinks, discovering a new restaurant, or stumbling upon an art exhibit, this collection celebrates these moments in everyday life and the unexpected that can happen.” – Toma Mora and Jennifer Lyu.
The collection has graphic designs that provide a contemporary sensibility, including abstract patterns on midi dresses, loose-fitting skirts, and flowy shirts. Brilliant colours also make a great impact. Satin suits in their brand-new kate spade green and fire engine red; quirky articles in hot pink and lemon; even faux fur outerwear appears in technicolour. A distinct feeling of flare is added by fluid sequin numbers, including sparkly pants suits and shifts.
