The Malaysian Home of Sport also incorporates numerous digital touchpoints, enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Celebrating Local Creativity

As the first Home of Sport concept store in Malaysia, adidas took the opportunity to collaborate with two talented local female artists to create exclusive pieces for the store. Hanisah and Syikin, two artists whose work resonated strongly with the brand, contributed unique works inspired by Malaysian culture and adidas’ ethos.

Hanisah Johari’s Woven Piece

Hanisah Johari’s woven piece, prominently displayed upon entering the store, is a testament to her craftsmanship and creativity. Using textiles from deadstock adidas products, including apparel, sports bras, and shoes, she employed traditional weaving techniques to create a piece that captures the vibrancy of Brickfields Little India while infusing sports-inspired elements.

Syikin Abdullah’s Mural Art

Within the store, shoppers can also discover four captivating art pieces, including two distinct works in the women’s and men’s fitting rooms, and two hand-painted pillars by Syikin Abdullah. Inspired by the motion and power behind adidas’ tagline, “Impossible is Nothing,” her artworks draw from the dynamics of sports, portraying athletes in their element. Syikin subtly pays homage to her Malaysian heritage by incorporating bold red hibiscus and native plants into her creations.

The ‘Bunga Raya’ Collection

To commemorate the launch of Malaysia’s first Home of Sport concept store, adidas introduced the Bunga Raya Key City Tee. Designed around the national Hibiscus flower, a symbol of the country’s strength and values, customers who spend a minimum of RM 400 on adidas products from September 14th to October 5th, 2023, can redeem a complimentary matching Bunga Raya tote bag while stocks last. adiClub Members can also look forward to exclusive Bunga Raya-themed merchandise available in-store.
