The Marini’s Group has announced the return of its Viva Marini Bartending Competition, open for submissions until the 16th of November.
“The Marini’s Group has always been committed to providing quality dining, entertainment and service to our guests at all our establishments and we would like to express great appreciation to them for giving us the opportunity to create those unique experiences and memorable moments whenever they dine with us,” said Cavaliere Modesto Marini, founder and owner of The Marini’s Group.
“We are also excited to announce the second edition of the Viva Marini Bartending Competition and look forward to witnessing more high levels of creativity and skills from our bartending industry professionals this year. Our judges were impressed last year and we hope the participants will up the ante this year,” he added.
The Viva Marini Bartending Competition offers both professional and novice mixologists the chance to showcase their inventive creations to the judges.
Participants need to submit an original cocktail recipe centred around the theme of “Celebration,” accompanied by a creative video of the cocktail’s concoction posted on Instagram to be eligible for the win.
Ten finalists will be selected for the grand finale, scheduled for November 20, 2023, at Marini’s on 57 Lounge. The chosen bartenders will have to serve two drinks during the live event: a themed cocktail made with specific spirits and their submitted competition entry.
The winner of the 2023 Viva Marini Bartending Competition will be determined by a panel of judges through tasting and voting. A cash prize of RM10,000 will be awarded to the best bartender, with RM5,000 and RM3,000 going to the runners-up, respectively.
The announcement of the second edition of the Viva Marini Bartending Competition coincided with the celebration of the 11th year milestone of The Marini’s Group and its multi award-winning establishment, Marini’s on 57.
