Foodies, rejoice! The food scene at Berjaya Times Square just got a whole lot more exciting as they welcome Tangkak Beef Noodle House’s second outlet. The restaurant has over 50 years of history, and every bowl is filled with the rich culture of authentic Malaysian delicacies.

Tangkak Beef Noodle House is known for boasting an extensive menu that features incredibly high quality Australian Hereford beef that’s just packed with flavour and melts in your mouth. Diners can enjoy different cuts of the premium quality beef, including money belly, tendon, and stomach mix, to go along with their signature Soup All Mix. We wouldn’t be Malaysians without carbs in our meals, and Tangkak Beef Noodle House offers homemade noodles, vermicelli noodles or rice, the perfect accompaniment to tender cuts of beef.

The original Tangkak Beef Noodle was first called Restoran Kuang Fei, established all the way back in 1976, by Au Ah Kuang in the small town of Tangkak, Johor. Named in honour of Au Ah Kuang’s father, who was the original inventor of this iconic bowl of noodles, this Hainanese beef noodle dish has a splash of Malaysian-ness to cater to the local palate.

Nearly 50 years later, the restaurant is still alive and thriving, and has since grown and adapted to become a franchise that’s beloved within the Halal community. Following the opening of the first Tangkak Beef Noodle House outlet in Tropicana Gardens Mall in 2023, the franchise has only become bigger and better, and is now certified Halal by JAKIM.

According to said Au Ai Leen, Director of Tangkak Beef Noodle House, “We are thrilled to continue and serve our legacy dishes born in Tangkak to more customers here in Kuala Lumpur. Our recipes are our pride and joy and we take several hours of cooking time each day to reach the perfect, authentic taste that is now available for our Halal community. We hope that more people will continue to support Tangkak Beef Noodle House and other local restaurants serving authentic Malaysian delicacies.” Au Ai Leen also mentioned that she aims to achieve 50 outlets within the next five years.

The opening of Tangkak Beef Noodle House in Berjaya Times Square was commemorated with the presence of Her Royal Highness Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom, in addition to other VIPs in attendance, including Tan Tee Ming, Executive Director of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, Puan Sri Esther Tan, Tan Sri Faizah, Chairperson of OrphanCARE and Au Ah Kuang himself, founder of Tangkak Beef Noodle House.

To take the celebrations one step further, Tangkak Beef Noodle House donated RM10,000 to OrphanCARE, which is a non-profit organisation that cares for orphans and houses unwanted babies.

You can find the new Tangkak Beef Noodle House outlet at No. LG-21 & LG-22, Level LG, Berjaya Times Square.
