Can you share some of the challenges you faced in bringing the concept of ARTBOX to Malaysia, and how did you overcome them to create a successful event?

Through an open call for submissions and collaborations with local art communities, we ensure a dynamic and engaging environment that reflects the vibrant artistic landscape of Malaysia.

The immersive experiences provided by ARTBOX encourage visitors to engage in meaningful discussions and connect with the art on a personal
level.

Collaborations with local businesses and organisations can greatly enhance the impact of an event. Can you share some examples of successful partnerships that have enriched the ARTBOX Malaysia experience?

Our collaborations extend beyond art to include local businesses. Partnerships with homegrown brands, cultural institutions, and community organisations enrich the ARTBOX experience. For instance, collaborations with local food vendors, artisans, and performers create a holistic and culturally rich atmosphere, enhancing the overall event.
For example, we have our official merchandise Dissy.co where you can customise Dissy branded t-shirts with exclusive Artbox designs. Visitors can pick exclusive Artbox fabric stickers and there is on-site heat transfer printing service available. Another example, Instax activation invites visitors to complete a series of challenges within Artbox such as taking a selfie and reward them with a chance at gachapon.

In what ways do you believe ARTBOX Malaysia fosters a sense of community and connection among both artists and attendees?

individuals who share a passion for art and creativity. We envision ARTBOX as a platform to enable emerging brands to pop up, this gives a sense of discovery of new products and new goods for the visitors in return.

The selection process for artists and vendors is integral to the success of ARTBOX. How has the curation for ARTBOX 2023 been approached to ensure a fresh and diverse showcase of talent?

The curation process for ARTBOX 2023 focuses on embracing diversity and freshness. We have collaborated with a mix of emerging and established artists, ensuring a showcase that spans various artistic genres. The selection committee prioritises inclusivity, originality, and relevance to current societal themes to provide visitors with a unique and engaging experience.

Sustainability is an ongoing concern. How has the commitment to eco-friendly practices been integrated into the planning and execution of ARTBOX Malaysia 2023, and what initiatives are in place to minimise the event’s environmental footprint?

Sustainability is at the core of ARTBOX Malaysia 2023. From the selection of eco-friendly materials for installations to waste reduction initiatives, we aim to minimise the event’s environmental footprint.
Partnerships with environmentally conscious vendors and the incorporation of recycling and upcycling programs further reinforce our commitment to responsible event planning. We also offer green packaging partners as an option when the vendors book a booth with us.

Attendee experience is crucial. What special amenities, attractions, or activities have been introduced for ARTBOX 2023 to ensure visitors have a memorable and enjoyable time?
