Poplook has finally presented their latest artist collaboration with popular Malaysian artist, Miriam Omar. One of Malaysia’s most loved, multi-disciplinary artists known for her fun and colourful interpretations of nature. She has also garnered a strong following through her labels: Project Mirro and Mirro Notes.
Glitz learned that the Miriam Omar x Poplook collaboration is a 20-style collection encompassing womenswear, accessories and childrenswear. From the get-go, it was decided that the print would celebrate the colourful, local flowers of the tropics. The signature print, lovingly named “Mirro Print”, is an all-over colourful print showcasing flora such as orchids, monstera leaves, heliconias and coconut trees. The colour palette was kept fun yet feminine with an accent on orange, pink and lilac hues.
The Poplook team sourced special fabrics for this collection; from soft chiffons to hammered silky fabrics, complementing the femininity of the prints. Poplook designers intentionally kept designs and cuts minimal to let the prints take centre stage. The collection features beautiful maxi dresses, easy blouses, a tote bag, headscarf and even a small collection for little girls.
Pieces come in both print and solid colours for ease of mixing and matching. Fans of both Miriam Omar and Poplook are sure to have a feast of beautiful artistic pieces. The collections are available starting: 23rd August 2022. All womens designs are available in sizes XS – 4XL. So hurry before they sell out!
