Although a lot of hype surrounds everyone’s Hari Raya attire every year, Hari Raya bags are seldom in the spotlight. Everyone knows that a fit isn’t complete without a matching handbag to tie the whole look together, so what gives? Remember ladies, your accessories are where you can truly show off your vibrant personality and individual style, more so than your clothing. Don’t believe us? Here is a collection of high-end bags worn by your favourite local celebrities and influencers during Hari Raya 2024, so you can judge for yourself.

Our Favourite Celebrity Bags For Hari Raya 2024

1. Sharifah Rose

Actress and internet personality Sharifah Rose wore lilac on the first day of Syawal 2024. Peep her Instagram caption with a cheeky Hari Raya wish reserved for those who donned the same colour! To go with her elegant lilac kurung cape with beaded embroidery from Samm Republic, she paired it with a Dior Medium Lady D-Joy Bag in the colour latte. The quilted purse, which is made out of lambskin, retails for RM24,000.

2. Elvina Mohamad

Actress Datin Norzalina Mohamad, professionally known as Elvina Mohamad, donned a deep burgundy shade on the first day of Raya, complimenting her curled locks. She selected a Louis Vuitton Capucines Mini bag in the shade Noir to pair with her NH by Nurita Harith baju kurung with a flattering draped silhouette. The adorably-sized Taurillon leather bag decorated with gold monogram flowers costs RM31,500.

3. Yaya Zahir

If you’re choking at the prices on this list so far, TV host and actress Yaya Zahir sported one of the most affordable high-end bags on this list. Then again, her Jacquemus Le sac Rond in a hard-to-find lilac colour is priced around RM3,688 so it truly depends on your definition of the word “affordable”. Nevertheless, her uniquely structured bag pops against her beautiful floral kebaya from Innai & Co.—and we love how it’s the exact same shade as her husband’s samping.

4. Nadia Nasimuddin

The award for the most expensive and rarest Raya bag on this list belongs to Internet personality and entrepreneur Nadia Nasimuddin. It’s hard to put a price point on her Loro Piana Extra Pocket L19 in a rare Metallic Gold Alligator but considering the regular Alligator Leather version costs around RM84,000, you can do the math. Apologies to Nasimuddin’s flowy custom champagne Alia Bastamam ensemble, her shiny bag definitely stole the show.

5. Intan Najuwa

Actress Datin Intan Najuwa Abdul Wahid, commonly known as Intan Najuwa, celebrated Hari Raya in style — or should we say riches? — with two different luxury purses to go with her baju kurungs from Teh Firdaus and Larney. You might recognise the first as another Louis Vuitton Capucines Mini but Najuwa’s is in bright yellow and has cutouts of the iconic Louis Vuitton monogram, priced around RM35,000. For the second day of Raya, Najuwa sported a Small Lady Dior My ABCDior Bag in latte which retails for RM30,500. That’s over RM60,000 spent on just Raya bags, phew!

6. Daiyan Trisha

Singer, actress, and TV host Daiyan Trisha looked stunning during the second day of Raya in an ivory Innai & Co. kebaya and an earth-toned shawl from her own line, Selendang Daiyan by Jovian. Her gorgeous brown Gucci Bamboo 1947 Small Top Handle Bag elevates her elegant look to perfection; we simply adore the bamboo detailing. The sleek Gucci bag is priced around RM21,000.

7. Bonus: Scha Al-Yahya and Awal Ashaari’s Daughters

Are we allowed to add bags that belong to celebrity children to this list? We think it’s justifiable, as Lara Alana and Lyla Amina are celebrities in their own right as the adorable daughters of the Malaysian power couple, actors Scha Al-Yahya and Awal Ashaari. The family sported emerald green on the first day of Syawal and the girls accessorised with matching Fendi Nano Peekaboo bags — not available for purchase yet for us plebeians. Therefore, the price of these adorable purses is uncertain, but the Fendi Nano Baguette Maxi Handle costs RM7,700, so we can’t imagine that it’s anything less than that.
