Moreover, the excitement is doubled as Pavilion Kuala Lumpur joins the party, celebrating its 15th anniversary, promising an unforgettable experience for all!

Step into the magical world of Harajuku as Tokyo Street comes alive with captivating pop-ups, enchanting decorations, and Instagrammable props that will transport shoppers into a fusion of Japanese culture, dining, shopping, anime, cosplay, and festival at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

AniManGaki Returns for a Thrilling Encore

Pavilion KL is thrilled to team up once again with AniManGaki, Malaysia’s renowned animation, comics, and games convention, to present a series of exciting events. 

From thrilling competitions and runway shows to captivating displays, AniManGaki brings the best of pop culture to the heart of Tokyo Street. And as the icing on the cake, fans can meet international cosplay sensation KNITE, flying in all the way from Sydney, for an exclusive meet-and-greet on 29th July from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The grand launch of Tokyo Street’s 12th-anniversary celebration was nothing short of spectacular. 

The event saw esteemed guests of honour, including His Excellency Mr. Katsuhiko Takahashi, the Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia, Madam Mami Takahashi, wife of the Japanese Ambassador, and Puan Sri Cindy Lim, Executive Chairman of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. 

The celebration also was graced by the presence of prominent figures from Japan’s business and cultural community.

Immerse Yourself in Harajuku Culture

Tokyo Street welcomes shoppers to savour the delights of Harajuku’s iconic street food. With pop-ups from Frost n Bites, Tokyo Teppan, Kakiyuki, Okonomi, Matcha Hero, and Gindaco & Croissant Taiyaki, guests can indulge in a gastronomic adventure.

Experiential Workshops and Cultural Exhibitions

Harajuku Kawaii Pop-Up Festival awaits, offering a host of workshops and booths where visitors can explore the intricacies of Japanese culture. 

From DIY phone case workshops to express bling nail art manicures, shoppers can delve into the world of Harajuku’s distinctive fashion and discover an array of figurines, toys, and dolls for the collector in them.

The Japan Embassy’s ‘Seasons of Japan’ exhibition, taking place at Tokyo Street from the 5th to 28th August, will showcase Japanese dolls and decorations, including warrior May Dolls (Kabuto), ornamental Hina Dolls representing the emperor, empress, and their court, a Tanabata Tree for shoppers to hang their wishes, as well as intricate tea sets.

Alternatively, you can snap a memory beside the iconic asakusa lanterns, reminiscent of the Lantern of Kaminarimon at Senso-ji Temple in Japan.
