Trust us, we’ve been there a few too many times, which is why we came up with a list of the best late night food in KL and PJ. Of course, we had to start our list of where to eat in KL & PJ at night with this iconic eatery. Mee Tarik is a Chinese-Muslim hub of pure gastronomic delights such as hand-pulled noodles in piping hot bowls of savoury broth, steamed and fried dumplings, and even meat skewers that will just make you do a little happy dance. This popular establishment is located right in the middle the Chinatown/ Pasar Seni area, so if you ever find yourself wandering this area at night with an empty belly, this is where to go. The best part? It’s cheap, and it’s open all the way until 4am.

2. Kantin Mini @ Kampung Baru

Open air food courts are the best places to have late night hangouts with your friends, no doubt about it. The cool breeze, the numerous options so you and your friends don’t have to argue about what to eat, and plus, who can ignore the gorgeous view of the Twin Towers? Kantin Mini @ Kampung Baru is where you can get a huge array of late night food, and it’s open til 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. Another highly popular late night joint in KL, you’ll see a huge amount of people around Wolo Hotel , which is where you’ll find Damascus if you’re in Bukit Bintang. This is definitely where to eat in KL & PJ at night if you’re in the mood for Shawarma. Grab a beef, chicken, or have the best of both worlds to go, and continue on exploring Bukit Bintang. Or if you feel like you want to dine in, then we definitely recommend the Shish Tawook, their super fresh Tabouleh Salad, and Lamb Kebab. Best eaten with friends and family, you’ll definitely feel the secret ingredient in all their amazing dishes: love. They also have a branch in Sungei Wang Plaza if you want to skip the queue.

4. Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kg Baru

Late night nasi lemak? Sign us up! This popular eatery has been around since 1963, and their cult following has just grown ever since. Open from 6am until midnight, there’s hardly a time where you won’t find a queue at this place, but it’s definitely worth it. Nasi Lemak Wanjo Kg Baru has what seems to be endless arrays of lauk options for your nasi lemak, and you can really eat to your heart’s content. Fragrant nasi, sweet and spicy sambal, crispy yet juicy ayam rempah – we’re starving.

Where to Get Supper in PJ

1. Murni Discovery

Everybody in PJ and their mothers know about this spot, but in case you haven’t heard of it, Murni Discovery is definitely a local haunt that you should check out for some late night eats. They’ve come a long way since their establishment in 1999, and their menu has just gotten bigger and better. Their portions are huge, and dishes, like the Nasi Goreng Meletup Chicken Chop, even offers 2-in-1 dishes, so you don’t even have to choose. We also recommend trying out one of their fun mocktails to go with your meal. They have a bunch of locations throughout KL, PJ, and Shah Alam, so if you’re hungry late at night, you know where to go!

2. COCO BBQ

Korean barbeque at midnight? We’re already there. COCO BBQ in SS15 is where you can make your mukbang dreams come true, with a huge array of meat options to grill and side dishes to gorge on. The restaurant itself is fun and casual, but it’s always packed, so be ready to queue for at least half an hour. Meat options include pork belly, pork shoulder, and chicken, and you can choose for your meats to be either marinated or non-marinated. Definitely a spot worth checking out, this is where to eat in KL & PJ at night.

One of our favourite places to hangout in PJ, TAPAK Urban Street Dining is a super fun place to grab a bite to eat at with your friends and family. This place has over 40 types of food to choose from, so pick a table and eat to your heart’s content. They’ve got everything; from burgers and char kuey teow, to BBQ and Korean dishes! Not only that, they also have live music, so you can be entertained while you feast. They have several locations in KL, PJ, and Subang, so be sure to check them out.

Togather serves up hearty dishes that really just hits the spot when you want something warm and comforting when all other restaurants are closed. They serve Asian-Western fusion dishes, and just like the name suggests, their dishes are best enjoyed with other people. Their menu is huge, and they have everything from pasta and noodle dishes, to herbals soups and pizza. Favourites include their Signature Curry Meehoon & Mee and Cheese Baked Yin Yong Sauce Chicken Chop with Rice.
