Mickey 17
Loved the Academy Award-winning Parasite? Then you won’t want to miss Mickey 17, Bong Joon Ho’s return — this time diving into sci-fi. Set in 2054 aboard a spaceship heading to a new colony, Robert Pattinson stars as Mickey, an “Expendable” who’s sent on deadly missions and replaced by a clone every time he dies. But when two Mickeys end up alive at once, things spiral into chaos. It’s a mind-bending and darkly funny yet poignant ride that only Bong could dream up.

Novocaine
Ever wondered what it would be like if a goofy, corporate guy had a nervous system disorder that made him unable to feel pain? Wonder no more! Novocaine follows Nathan Caine, an assistant bank manager whose unusual condition suddenly throws him into the middle of a high-stakes mess. After his co-worker (and office crush) Sherry is kidnapped during a bank robbery, Nathan has no choice but to play the unlikely hero. But just because he can’t feel pain doesn’t mean he’s built for a fight — especially when things get seriously out of hand.

Locked
Sure, carjackers are the scum of society — but we’re not entirely convinced the events of Locked are a fitting punishment. The film follows a desperate thief, played by Bill Skarsgård, who picks the wrong luxury car to steal. What starts as a quick getaway turns into a terrifying game of survival when he realises the vehicle has been rigged with deadly traps, all controlled by its sinister owner, voiced by Anthony Hopkins. One thing’s for sure: this carjacker won’t be making a career out of stealing rides anytime soon — if he makes it out alive.
In theaters on March 20.
Best New Shows
Adolescence
The internet has been going crazy over Adolescence, Netflix’s latest British drama, and it’s easy to see why. This gripping miniseries doesn’t just tell a story — it immerses you in it, with all four hour-long episodes filmed in a single, unbroken take. At the heart of it is Jamie, a thirteen-year-old boy accused of murdering his classmate, Katie Leonard. As the story unfolds, Adolescence dives deep into the unsettling world of online radicalisation and incel culture, offering a chilling reflection of issues that feel all too current. It’s intense, unflinching, and impossible to look away from.

The Wheel of Time Season 3
Let’s take a breather from all the action and slip into something a little more… mystical. The Wheel of Time spins back onto screens this month with its much-anticipated third season. At its core? Moiraine, a formidable member of the Aes Sedai: an ancient sisterhood wielding an energy source known as the One Power. She’s on a quest to guide five young companions, convinced one of them is destined to be the Dragon Reborn, a mythical figure fated to either save humanity or bring about its ruin. No pressure, Moiraine!

The Studio
In the mood for a comedy that tears into Hollywood with zero mercy? The Studio is exactly that. Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, the new head of Continental Studios. Desperate to prove he belongs, Matt finds himself juggling fragile celebrity egos, impossible studio execs, and the constant fear of tanking the entire operation. With Rogen at the helm (starring, directing, writing, and producing) The Studio promises to be fast, chaotic, and painfully funny, with the bonus of an insanely star-studded cast, all playing themselves.
Streaming on Apple TV+ starting March 26.
