The Idol, a highly anticipated HBO original drama series, will air this 5th June on HBO (Astro Ch 411) after premiering at this year’s Festival de Cannes.
It was co-created by the sick and twisted minds of Sam Levinson (HBO’s Euphoria), Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and Reza Fahim.

The series follows Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) who is desperate to prove her rightful place as America’s greatest and sexiest pop diva after a nervous breakdown wrecked her last tour. Tedros (Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye), a nightclub promoter with a shady past, reignites her passions. Will her romantic awakening lead her to glorious new heights or to the deepest and darkest recesses of her soul?
The Idol features a star-studded cast that includes Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Eli Roth, Hari Nef, Jane Adams, Jennie Ruby Jane of Blackpink, Mike Dean, Moses Sumney, Rachel Sennott, Ramsey, Suzanna Son, and Hank Azaria.
You can stream or download The Idol from 5th June on HBO GO.
