Mental health is a topic that often lurks in the shadows, yet its impact touches lives across all spectrums. Recognizing this, The Butterfly Project, Malaysia’s beloved beauty and lifestyle community, is stepping up with a unique event aimed at destigmatising mental health while celebrating friendship and self-care.
Breaking Barriers with Besties
Contents
Scheduled for May 18th and 19th, 2024, from 11 am to 6 pm at The School by Jaya One, the PASAR BESTIES Bazaar is not your typical marketplace. It’s a vibrant gathering designed to spark conversations, offer support, and raise awareness about mental health issues.
With 13 participating brands, six workshops, and over 30 vendors offering pre-loved and handmade treasures, this bazaar promises a blend of entertainment and enlightenment.
According to Tammy Lim, the visionary behind The Butterfly Project, the event’s theme is simple yet profound: “It’s okay not to be okay”. Tammy believes that by creating a safe space for people to connect, share, and learn, we can break down barriers and promote well-being together.
Empowering Through Experience
The bazaar isn’t just about shopping or workshops — it’s a holistic experience. From the Golden Duck Supermart Fest with exciting games and prizes to mental health workshops led by experts like Minc.Care and Emotion Pod X Becky Kux, there’s something for everyone.
Participants can indulge in self-care sessions, DIY activities, and even enjoy a relaxing massage at Pressurini Spa.
What sets this event apart is its focus on community empowerment. Vendors offering pre-loved items are not just sellers but members of a supportive ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship and sustainability. Through thrifting and reducing waste, the bazaar embodies a spirit of conscious consumption and social responsibility.

Whether you’re passionate about mental health advocacy, love shopping for unique finds, or simply want to spend quality time with your besties, the PASAR BESTIES Bazaar invites you to be part of something meaningful. Mark your calendars, gather your friends, and immerse yourself in a celebration of friendship, self-care, and positive vibes.
