Open sales began on 10 April and run until 30 April 2026. Customers who purchase during this window still receive a one-year extended warranty and Nothing merchandise while stocks last. The pre-order period, which ran from 2 to 9 April, included an additional RM100 discount on top of those perks.
The Phone (4a) is available in black, white, blue, and pink. The Phone (4a) Pro comes in black, silver, and pink.
Two Phones, One Clear Upgrade Path

The Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro share the same battery, software platform, and camera count, but the Pro makes meaningful jumps in chip performance, build quality, display specs, and camera hardware. The RM300 gap is the decision most buyers will need to make.
Here is a quick look at where each phone lands.
Design: Transparent Glass Meets Metal Unibody

The Phone (4a) carries Nothing’s signature transparent design, with a reinforced camera bump, metal buttons, and a strengthened frame. It holds an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating and supports submersion up to 25cm for 20 minutes.
The Phone (4a) Pro takes a different direction. Its precision-crafted metal unibody measures 7.95mm thin (the slimmest Nothing phone to date) and includes a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system. IP65 dust and water resistance is a step above the standard model, and the Pro’s metallic finishes (silver, black, and a warm metallic pink) give it a distinctly premium feel.
Display: Bright, Smooth, and Sunlight-Readable

The Phone (4a) features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (1,224 x 2,720), a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protects the front, and 2,160Hz PWM dimming reduces eye strain in low-light use.
The Phone (4a) Pro steps up to a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits, which is Nothing’s brightest screen yet. Touch sampling runs at 2,500Hz, making it noticeably responsive for gaming and fast scrolling. Both displays support Ultra HDR content.
Cameras: Periscope Telephoto on Both Models

Photography is a major part of the Phone (4a) series pitch, and both phones arrive with a triple rear camera setup powered by the TrueLens Engine 4.
The Phone (4a) pairs a 50MP OIS main sensor with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, a Sony ultra-wide, and a 32MP wide-angle selfie camera. Zoom reaches up to 70x, and the system supports Ultra XDR photos co-developed with Google; shareable directly to Instagram. AI Photo Eraser, professional presets, and seven Nothing watermarks round out the camera tools.
The Phone (4a) Pro upgrades the main sensor to a Sony LYT700c with OIS and extends zoom to 140x (the longest zoom ever shipped on a Nothing phone). The system also supports 4K Ultra XDR video with HDR processing equivalent to Dolby Vision. Both phones use the same 32MP front camera.
Glyph Interface: Two Systems, One Purpose

The standard Phone (4a) introduces the Glyph Bar: 63 mini-LEDs across seven zones, reaching up to 3,500 nits and capable of doubling as a fill light during video or photo capture. Three patented technologies ensure zero light leakage and clean, uniform illumination.
The Phone (4a) Pro features the Glyph Matrix: 137 mini-LEDs covering a 57% larger area than the Bar, and 100% brighter at around 3,000 nits. It supports per-contact light patterns, Glyph Toys (Battery, Timer, Digital Clock, Solar Path, Glyph Mirror), and always-on display integration. No dedicated Glyph Button is required.
Both systems reduce screen-on distractions while keeping alerts visible and personalised.
Performance: Two Snapdragon Chips, Clear Hierarchy

The Phone (4a) runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, delivering a 7% CPU and graphics improvement over its predecessor with 10% better power efficiency. AI performance is up to 92.5% faster than the Phone (2a), using the 6th-generation Qualcomm AI Engine.
The Phone (4a) Pro uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (a step up the chip ladder) with 27% faster CPU performance, 30% improved GPU output, and 65% stronger AI capabilities. Memory operations are up to 100% faster, and the chip brings the Pro’s AI performance close to Snapdragon 8 series territory.
Both phones handle BGMI at 120Hz and PUBG Mobile at 90Hz without issue. If gaming performance is a priority and you are also weighing up display options, our roundup of the best gaming monitors in Malaysia is worth a read for a fuller picture of your setup.
Battery and Charging
Both phones share a 5,080mAh battery with 50W fast charging. A 30-minute charge takes the battery to 60%. Nothing also rates battery health above 90% capacity after 1,200 charge cycles; roughly three years of daily use.
Software: Nothing OS 4.1 on Android 16
Both phones ship with Nothing OS 4.1, built on Android 16. The update brings redesigned icons, a refreshed lock screen, floating apps, resizable Quick Settings, and a deeper dark mode.
The AI suite includes Essential Search (keyword-based multi-app lookup), Essential Memory (personalised results built from your usage), and the Playground; a no-code tool for building custom apps directly on your home screen. For the first time on the (4a) series, Essential Space supports cloud access, syncing across phones, desktops, and laptops.
Nothing commits to three years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches on both models.
Sustainability
The Phone (4a) Pro carries a carbon footprint of 50.5 kg CO₂e, incorporating recycled materials in 46 components, including recycled plastics, aluminium, tin, and steel. The Phone (4a) sets a new benchmark for Nothing at 51.13 kg CO₂e, with 30% recycled plastic, 100% recycled aluminium and tin, and 80% recycled steel across 30 components. Both models use over 99% plastic-free packaging and are assembled entirely using renewable energy.
