As it is an advent calendar, it can be opened one at a time leading up to Mid-Autumn festival. In addition to the standard lotus paste with a single yolk, pandan paste with a single yolk, red bean paste with almond flakes, and different nuts, this year’s halal-certified classic baked mooncakes also have salted egg custard snow skin. 

Dessert enthusiasts can try Malaysian chocolate mooncakes, which have fillings including local dark chocolate ganache, milk chocolate with jasmine sesame ganache, and pandan gula Melaka coconut dacquoise. Lotus paste with a single egg yolk and pandan paste with a single egg yolk are both available in alcoholic versions too. And the cherry on top is that these are all packaged in a beautiful bamboo box covered in red silk.

The Concorde Hotel in Kuala Lumpur has released a collection of four adorable designs for 3D mooncake lightboxes for this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival. An animated effect is added to each illustration by printing it on a 3D lens sheet made of coated plastic. Mooncakes are presented in a satin box with a delicate rose gold metal frame. The famous Musang King Durian snowskin mooncake is this year’s most talked-about treat.

There are four individual mooncakes contained within the unique 3D light box design. Set A features double-yolked pure lotus, white lotus, pandan lotus, and green tea red bean paste. Pure white lotus, diverse fruit nuts, Japanese red beans, and a single golden pandan lotus yolk are all included in Set B’s pure lotus gift box.
