1. Oh Cha Matcha

One of our personal favourite places for matcha dessert & drinks in KL is Oh Cha Matcha. Oh Cha Matcha sources their matcha from Uji, Kyoto, the best place to get matcha from. But what makes Oh Cha Matcha stand out is the unique matcha creations you can get. Aside from authentic matcha lattes, you can get drinks like Watermelon Matcha and Kalamansi, Sour Plum Matcha. We highly recommend you try the latter. They also offer matcha shots but that’s not all that Oh Cha Matcha offers. They also just released a new Wellness Elixir Series, using adaptogens like cordyceps, red reishi, and more. Other than that, their matcha burnt cheesecake is a must-try!

As for the matcha, you get to choose from various types like hojicha, genmaicha, and genmai. 3. Matcha Hero

If you ask every matcha enthusiast here in Malaysia on which tea shop they prefer going to, most would say Matcha Hero. Matcha Hero at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is a tiny tea shop that serves big flavours. Here, you can find authentic matcha dessert & drinks in KL that will have you coming back for more. The uncle who works there is actually from Japan, so you can rest assured that he knows what he is doing. Matcha Hero’s menu is simple but tasteful. But the highlight of the menu for us is the matcha latte float. A matcha latte float is matcha latte with a scoop of matcha ice cream. The best part is that you can also choose to get the ice cream on its own. And they have both matcha and houjicha ice creams!
