Want to expand your music taste and explore more artists? Check out Marco George, a multi-genre Malaysian-Italian singer-songwriter. His music knows no limits or boundaries as he explores elements of pop, R&B, rap, psychedelic, rock, and folk. Bringing his A-game to all his live shows, he is set to perform at Jao Tim, Kuala Lumpur on 5 January and Merdekarya, Petaling Jaya on 10 January.
With a loop pedal, guitar, keyboard, and mic for beatboxing, Marco takes centre stage by incorporating his own theatrical elements. Who doesn’t love audience-centred shows, right? That’s exactly what his shows are all about, as he always finds ways to interact with the crowd.
The singer had early exposure to artists like Pink Floyd, Scorpions, Bon Jovi, and especially U2. With that in mind, expect his performance style and sound to resemble those of Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, FKJ, and Jason Mraz.
Despite taking piano, guitar, and drum lessons early in life, Marco is primarily a self-taught musician, with YouTube being his greatest mentor. Fun fact: He has been in different bands in Malaysia, including Thrash, Million Dollar Dream, and Zenith in the UK. He is currently focusing on solo projects, which you can find on his YouTube channel and Spotify.
Curious about this singer? Catch Marco George live in action at two locations this January: 5 January at Jao Tim, Kuala Lumpur, and 10 January at Merdekarya, Petaling Jaya!
