There’s honestly nothing better than a neighbourhood bakery. Instead of processed baked goods, being blessed to savour freshly baked pastries is a whole other level. Tucked in the peaceful area of Desa Parkcity is Kenny Hills Bakers. This humble bakery and cafe serve up some of the best desserts in PJ and other dishes too. And it’s because of their explosive flavours and classic pairings. Nevertheless, if you find Desa Parkcity to be far then visit their Ampang, TTDI or Bukit Tunku branches instead. Whichever you adjourn to, we ensure you’ll have the loveliest dining experience. But should you be doubtful, we’ve listed the top 10 menu items to order in our Kenny Hills Bakers review.
1. Peach Strudel
Contents
An absolute must-have in our Kenny Hills Bakers review is the Peach Strudel. It’s without a doubt that we order this every time we go there. Think Fruity’s famous apple strudel, but with peaches instead. The pastry is flaky and crisp, while the cream is fresh and not too sweet. Furthermore, the peaches are super juicy and are lightly dusted with powdered sugar. Overall, every bite is a bursting combination of different flavours and textures that are truly delightful.

2. Our Basmati Nasi Lemak
What’s a local cafe without some local dishes? Of course, we had to include Our Basmati Nasi Lemak in a Kenny Hills Bakers review. It’s a dish that’s highlighted in the breakfast section, for those who prefer a classic Malaysian breakfast. In this dish, you’ll find basmati rice, ayam berempah, assam prawn, and kampung egg. Complementing it are some ikan bilis, peanuts, cucumber, and homemade sambal.

3. Strawberries and Cream Waffles
We have to admit that we may love waffles more than pancakes. So a classic fruit and cream waffle is a definite must-try. Thus, in our Kenny Hills Bakers review, we just had to include this. Have it for dessert or even breakfast, as it’s the perfect combination of sweet and sour. The waffles feature vanilla chantilly cream, local organic honeycomb, and strawberries. Lastly, you’ll be given some organic maple syrup to drizzle over this beautiful dish.

4. Baklava Tart
Baklava is a dessert that’s famous in Turkey, and at Kenny Hills Bakers, they take it a step forward. Instead of serving it in bite-sized pieces, the baklava is transformed into a generous tart. In addition, it’s gluten-free. So if you’re allergic to gluten or just want a healthy dessert option, this is the one for you. Instead of filo pastry, what you get is a denser bite. But it’s one that’s filled with sugary goodness and crunchy nuts.

5. Big Breakfast
We’re huge fans of big breakfasts. Therefore, it’s a no brainer that we were going to include this dish in our Kenny Hills Bakers review. You can also add on smoked salmon and additional scrambled eggs for only RM3.

6. Nutella Croissant
A good croissant is what gives a bakery its reputation. And at Kenny Hills Bakers, their croissant is definitely something to try. If you’re a simple person, the plain or almond croissant would suffice. But for chocolate lovers, the Nutella croissant should be your choice. The croissant is flaky and buttery while the centre is generously filled with Nutella.

7. Truffle Mac & Cheese
Are you a pasta fanatic? Then we’re recommending the Truffle Mac & Cheese in our Kenny Hills Bakers review. Featuring three different kinds of cheese and roasted mushrooms, it’s the ultimate comfort food. Furthermore, the truffle adds a lovely smokey finish that’s not too overpowering. However, we recommend sharing this with someone as it does get filling halfway through.
