Barenbliss (BNB) is a new cruelty-free and cruelty-free cosmetic company that hails from Korea. Jina Kim, a well-known Korean celebrity makeup artist, is one of the co-founders of the company. Red Velvet, T-ARA, and Sistar are just a few of the celebs she’s worked with. Furthermore, her work has also been featured in Vogue, ELLE, and Harper’s BAZAAR, as well as on the websites of Shu Uemura and Anna Sui, among others.
BNB debuted in March of last year and has since amassed a sizable fanbase. They’ve received multiple beauty editor recommendations and awards, including GlowPick, Beauty+, and Allure, to mention a few. On Shopee Indonesia, the brand also topped the mask and lip tint category, swiftly becoming the go-to brand. But are their lipsticks really that good? Here at Glitz, we bought a few of these to try them out for ourselves. Here’s what we had to say:
The Berry Makes Comfort Lip Matte
First Impressions
One of barenbliss BNB’s most popular product is the Berry Makes Comfort Lip Matte. It’s a hydrating silky matte lipstick that comes in a range of six different shades. Our first impression of the packaging is that it’s very sleek and honestly beautiful. The tube is transparent, which allows you to see the shade of your choice while the cap features an ombre effect of the hue.
As we open the top and pull out the applicator, a sweet and light berry scent exudes. Does it also taste like berries? Yes, it does. Upon applying it to our lips, the texture was smooth and creamy but still felt super lightweight. The product glided with ease onto our lips and it’s incredibly pigmented as well. A single swipe is all you really need, which makes this product extremely worth it.
Favourite Shades
Out of all the six shades available, our favourites are definitely #01 Berry Set, #04 Maple Mingle, and #06 Chapter Nude. We feel like these three shades are perfect for different daily occasions and they give your lips that overall lovely glow. Shade #01 is a beautiful rosy pink that’s ideal for days when you don’t feel like wearing lots of makeup. On the contrary, #04 is perfect if you want your lips to match a shimmering neutral makeup look. Lastly, #06 is for when you want to go all out on your eye makeup while maintaining lovely plump lips. We’ve also tried these shades on different skin tones and they complimented each one beautifully.
12-Hour Wear Test
It did not crack our lips nor dry them out and by the end of the 12 hours, our lips were still very moisturised and plump, as if we just applied the product. Would we continue to use BNB Berry Makes Comfort Lip Matte? Definitely! And we highly recommend that you try it out too.
