First released in 2005, Sepet is a teen romcom-drama movie that tells the story of a love blossoming between Orked, a Malay girl played by Sharifah Amani, and Jason, a Chinese boy portrayed by Ng Choo Seong. They both face the racial and social pressures of having an interracial relationship, such as cultural clashes and parental disapproval.
