BIGBANG has released their latest single, Still Life, marking their comeback after almost four years of hiatus due to military enlistment.
The song which was released on April 5 at midnight KST managed to top several charts including iTunes for 33 different countries and other major music streaming platforms including Melon, QQ Music and Line Music.
It was reported that an hour after the single was released, BIGBANG trended number one on Twitter with “#BIGBANG_STILLLIFE”, as their fans, VIPs celebrating the group returned to the music scene.
Still Life by BIGBANG is a soft rock track with an opening sound of guitar riffs and a beautiful melody accompanying the group as they expressed their hope for the future whilst reminiscing about the past. In the music video, each of the BIGBANG’s members represents the seasons of spring, summer, fall and winter.
Although the comeback was highly anticipated by their fans, it may take a while before BIGBANG will return with its full member. Recently, T.O.P has announced his departure from the label, YG Entertainment after 16 years of exclusive contact.
