Calling all serial bingers out there! Your schedule for the upcoming month of August will be packed with an infinite list of new shows to watch. Whether you’re into reality shows, dramas or family entertainment, you can expect a slew of new releases on HBO GO, HBO, Warner TV, Cartoon Network and Boomerang. What’s more, make sure to catch the nail-biting series that is about to conclude this August on  HBO GO including Westworld Season 4 and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.

Industry Season 2

Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the second season of the Industry provides an insider’s view of the black box of high finance. The storyline follows a group of young bankers as they forge their identities within the sex and drug-fuelled affair of the international bank Pierpoint & Co’s London office. In this upcoming season, Harper, Yasmin and Robert must helm the new business and build new alliances both in and out of the office. The series stars Myha’la Herrold, Marisa Abela, Harry Lawty and David Jonsson.

Premieres  Tuesday, August 2 at 9 am on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO. Stream Season 1 on HBO GO.

House of the Dragon 

The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood which is set 200 years before the Game of Thrones. It focuses on the story of House Targaryen. Among the cast are Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.

Premieres Monday, August 22 on HBO GO. Catch up on all eight seasons of Game of Thrones and the documentary Game of Thrones: The Last Watch on HBO GO.

Container Wars Season 3

Container Wars elevates auctions to a whole new level. The series, which takes place at commercial shipping ports, shows bidders competing against one another to purchase enormous shipping containers that have arrived from all over the world. However, none of them knew what was inside. Viewers will get to see their pressure peak as they need to make their decision in just a minute which can determine the profit or loss.

Premieres Monday, August 1 with 2 new episodes at 8.10 pm on WarnerTV (Astro Ch 712). Stream Seasons 1 and 2 on HBO GO.

Halloween Kills

The film indicates an event after the Halloween 2018 movie. After leaving the masked villain Michael Myers trapped and burning in her basement, Laurie Strode is taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, Michael managed to escape and resume his ritualistic massacre. Laurie has inspired Haddonfield to fight against the uncontrollable monster. Along with a group of survivors, the Strodes form a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down. It stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak and James Jude Courtney.

Premieres Saturday, August 13 at 9 pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.

Queenpins

Based on a true story, this outlandish comedy shows a bored and frustrated suburban homemaker, Connie Kaminski and her best friend JoJo Johnson who turns a hobby into a multi-million-dollar counterfeit coupon caper. Stars Kristen Bell and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

Premieres Saturday, August 20 at 9 pm on HBO (Astro Ch 411) and HBO GO.

Super Dog Day Programming Special

Start the month with your most loyal and heroic canine, Pat the Dog. Pat the Dog, one of your most devoted and valiant dogs, will start the month. Pat the Dog has always been a hero despite his diminutive size and mischievous demeanour. Make sure to watch Pat and his owner, Lola, on their daily adventure.

The Super Dog Day show lineup also honours all of Boomerang’s cute canines, including Krypto the Superdog, Superman’s companion, while Scooby-Doo joins in on the fun with Be Cool, Scooby-Doo, Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! and Scooby-Doo and The Loch Ness Monster.

Watch Pat the Dog from Monday, August 1, daily at 10 am and Super Dog Day specials from Friday to Sunday, August 26 to 28 at 2 until 5 pm on Boomerang (Astro Ch 619).

Tom and Jerry: Cowboy Up!

With Tom and Jerry on the ranch, the Wild, Wild West just got even wilder! Unlike before, they need to work together to help a cowgirl and her brother protect their homestead from a greedy land speculator. With the help of three of Jerry’s nephews and a group of prairie dogs, they are ready to battle the enemy. But can a band of varmints defeat a deceitful desperado? Whatever unfolds, it will be a rootin’ tootin’ good time with Tom and Jerry at the helm!

Premieres Friday, August 12 on HBO GO. Cat-Toon Network Programming Special (Airs Saturday to Monday, August 6 to 8 at 5 pm until 8.30 pm on Cartoon Network (Astro Ch 615).

We Baby Bears New Episodes

The We Baby Bears series is returning to Cartoon Network with all new episodes, making it one of the best shows this August. In ‘No Land, All Air!’, the Bears find themselves in a world of dog-fighting planes and floating airships. Whereas in ‘A Real Crayon’, the Bears will embark on an adventure to unveil a mysterious crayon that has the power to make anything they draw become real. Finally, in ‘Witches’, viewers will get to see that the Bears summon three mysterious witches by mistake, and they have to figure out how to return home.

Premieres Saturday, August 13 on HBO GO and Cartoon Network (Astro Ch 615), with a new episode every weekend at 11.30 am.
