We all cherish the simple pleasures in life — having brunch in pretty cafes, window shopping, attending concerts, and going 80 kilometres per hour on a go-kart. While one of these activities might seem out of place, go-kart racing is becoming a popular pastime in Malaysia, as we now have numerous tracks to choose from. Whether you prefer outdoor or indoor racing, you can find the right go-kart track for you not just in Kuala Lumpur but also throughout the Klang Valley and beyond.

The Best Go-Kart Tracks in Kuala Lumpur and Beyond

1. LalaSpeed E Kart Raceway

Everyone’s favourite Japanese lifestyle shopping mall, LaLaport Bukit Bintang City Centre, has an open-space rooftop area on Level 5. Apart from endless stairs and wide grassy planes to relax on, you can also find LalaSpeed E Kart Raceway. Zip around on EV go-karts powered by electric motors and batteries while enjoying the stunning view of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic skyscrapers. There are two different modes to choose from: Novice Mode for children aged 7 to 15 years, and Race Mode for everyone over 16 years old. They even have a Tag-along option if you’d like to speed down the track with your child under seven years old.

2. Blastacars Malaysia

Is drifting your favourite part of go-kart racing? If you answered yes, then you’ll definitely fall in love with Blastacars Malaysia, as their well-made karts (developed since 1987 in New Zealand by Peter Zyp) are built specifically to drift — while still keeping things nice and safe, of course. Located in Sungei Wang Plaza, Blastacars Malaysia has two indoor tracks and three speed settings: Novice, Advance, and Pro. Proving that they take safety very seriously here, racers will have to prove to the staff that they can handle the Pro karts before being allowed onto the track. Will you accept the challenge?

You can select between 10 minutes or 30 minutes of speeding around on their Double Kart, Fast Kart, or Kiddie Kart that’s reserved for children.
