With school holidays commencing, Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas has announced a variety of exciting activities exclusively for children, promising a fun-filled adventure.
These engaging activities are designed to allow young explorers to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and natural heritage of this pristine location, deeply woven into a traditional fishing community.

The activities that await your children at Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas this school holiday include the Desaru Beach Life & Tidepool Discovery. During the daily 90-minute exploration, they will be guided by the resort’s Resident Naturalist to stroll along the sandy beach.
Beyond that, children will observe the tide as it ebbs, revealing its secret inhabitants, including sand bubbler crabs, moon snails, crustaceans, and mollusks. They will also learn more about these sea creatures and shorebirds, which range from graceful terns and plovers to majestic Brahminy kites, white-bellied sea eagles, and herons.
Bird enthusiasts can look forward to the Birdwatching Walk, while children who are fascinated by native flora can opt for the Resort Nature Walk. Additionally, there’s an opportunity to learn to make terrariums through a hands-on lesson, allowing children to keep their creations as keepsakes.
Another highlight of the activities includes the artistry of batik, a class curated to teach participants about the traditional wax-resist dyeing processes to create multi-colored patterns on their own fabric.
That’s not all. These young explorers can utilise complimentary bicycles throughout the resort’s comprehensive grounds, watch their favourite films under the stars at Herbs Garden, and participate in activities that interest them at the Layang-layang kids’ club or Luncur Ombak teen club.
