The Media Screening and Press Conference for local military blockbuster Air Force The Movie: Selagi Bernyawa which was presented by the Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysian Air Force, took place in honour of the upcoming Malaysia’s National Day.
The event which was held at GSC Mid Valley on 22nd August 2022, promised to ignite the spirit of patriotism among Malaysians. The full packed action movie, which is also presented by Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysian Air Force, follows the story of a PASKAU team led by Captain Adib (played by Nas-T) and his mentor, Major Adnan (Dato’ Adi Putra), tasked with protecting humanitarians serving in war torn country, Namburi.
On their return home, their plane gets unexpectedly shot down by local militants, in which 9 of the passengers manage to make their jump before the plane crashes. Meanwhile, back in Malaysia, upon discovery of the news, the air force makes preparations for a rescue mission. Adib’s brother-in-law, Zafran (Aiman Hakim Ridza), a daring SUKHOI pilot, who is temporarily grounded, fights for the opportunity to save them.
The air force deploys its combined assets for the mission and the survivors make their final run to salvation. According to the film’s directors Zulkarnain Azhar and Frank See, ‘’Air Force was created to honour the Malaysia armed forces. There are not many movies that show appreciation to our veterans who have served this great country. By Air Force The Movie, we hope to honour them all.’’
With the support of National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), the action- packed AIR FORCE THE MOVIE: SELAGI BERNYAWA is set to soar in 170 cinemas across Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore from 25 August 2022. It is also available in Dolby Atmos and 4DX, for an enhanced and immersive experience.
